Parallel shaft gear transmission system is also called fixed shaft (fixed axis) gear transmission system, manual transmission (MT) is of this structure. Bevel gears are used to transmit the movement and power between two intersecting shafts. In general machinery, the angle of intersection between the two shafts of bevel gears is equal to 90° (but it may not be equal to 90°). Similar to cylindrical gears, bevel gears have indexing cones, addendum cones, tooth root cones and base cones.
